Redwood Psychotherapy
Anti-Oppressive and Somatic-Based Trauma Therapy

About Redwood Psychotherapy
Redwood Psychotherapy provides anti-oppressive, somatic-based individual therapy for adults virtually throughout Massachusetts. I’m Lauren Wong, LMHC, owner/founder/therapist of Redwood Psychotherapy. I specialize in working with trauma and attachment wounding through a variety of talk therapy techniques, somatic-based interventions, parts work, and EMDR. In addition to trauma and attachment wounding, I also work with racial identity development, chronic health issues, managing stress and burnout in high-performance careers, and eating disorders and body image issues.
Redwood Psychotherapy is named after the redwood trees of Northern California, where I call home. Redwood trees are seen as symbols of resilience, regeneration, wisdom, and grounding. Just as redwoods survive through their interconnected root systems, I believe that healing and resilience develop through meaningful connection. While your past does shape your present, it does not have to define your whole future. I am committed to providing care through a liberatory- and trauma-informed lens that honors you as a whole person– who you have been, who you are, and who you will be.
I provide flexible, accessible therapy sessions conducted online for adults in Massachusetts. I presently work through Sondermind and am in-network with BlueCross BlueShield (BCBS), Aetna, Cigna, and UnitedHealthcare insurance plans.
